Mothers Day
Scott Mclean
Today’s ramblings are focusing on tomorrow and the people it honors.
Remember folks, tomorrow is Mother’s Day. What is a Mom?
Someone can be a biological mother but somehow doesn’t have the loving and protecting instincts. I truly feel for anyone who has had this kind of relationship.
My mother was a top notch Mom and I think my wife is as well. These are people who will butt heads with anyone to protect you even if you’re in the wrong.
Of course they might lay the law down on you in private later but not anyone else!
Mom’s are usually very involved with their broods activities.
They can be found working at school fundraisers, leading youth groups such as Cub Scouts, watching their children’s sports, and sometimes coaching them.
A mom will fix your owies or give you one on your hind end if needed.
Mom will cook your favorite meals and feed your friends as well.
Mom’s can be very unforgiving of boyfriends or girlfriends but they’re just trying to protect their young.
A Mom will lower the boom when she discovers you’ve been drinking or otherwise misbehaving.
Whether you do that well at something or not, as long as you tried she will be proud. A Mom will drive people crazy later in life while talking about kids or Grandkids.
In a traditional family the mom also has to keep the big kid she is married to under control.
Your Mom hauled you all around and fed you.
Take time while you still can to just take her somewhere now and then and maybe have a meal. She’s earned it! Enjoy time together while you can.
Those of you who have followed my stories know my Mom had her hands full.
Miss you Mom!
Our turn next month guys. Bye.
